The Reckless Gesture
The idea for Kilo Foxtrot Pedals started as the need to control volume for my band, The Reckless Gesture. During practice one day, the volume coming from the lead guitarist Fender Hot Rod Deluxe was a bit extreme. Anyone familiar with this amp knows that any setting past 2.5/3 on the volume knob is unusable in most normal settings, i.e., bedrooms, practice spaces, basements, anywhere smaller than a hockey rink. That was the spark for the Buttah Pedal.
After some tinkering, I decided to put the circuit into an enclosure that resembles a stick of butter—asking my drummer, Nick Prevas, if he could design and paint the enclosure to look as such. After some back and forth at the following practice, I had a name, The Buttah Pedal.
It is a simple concept with good graphic design and is adorable to look at. Interest has been growing, and I have decided to contribute another guitar pedal or two to the world. We are a company created from an experiment and a pun.
Thanks,
